How to Measure

Here are some examples on how to measure your body for made to order and custom leather. I recommend having someone help you with measuring yourself, as it is much easier to get accurate measurements with help.

Underbust Measurement

To measure your underbust, wrap the tape measure around your torso directly under the breast or pec. Make sure the tape measure lies mostly horizontal around your torso. Your measurement is the spot where the tape measure overlaps with itself.

Over the Shoulder Measurement

To measure over the shoulder for chest harnesses, measure directly from your underbust, straight over the shoulder, to the same point around your back. I highly recommend having someone else measure you for this, as it is easier to relax your shoulders for a proper measurement.

Wrist/Hand Measurements

These measurements are for hand harnesses and bracelets.

To measure your wrist, take the tape measure directly around your wrist and record where the tape measure overlaps.

To measure your hand, measure from your wrist to the end of your knuckle. Make sure the tape measure is taut.

Belt Measurement

There are two ways to measure for belts.

1) If you don’t have an existing belt, measure around your waist where you plan to wear your belt. Your measurement will be where the tape measure overlaps with itself. Make sure not to add anything to this number, I will add 1”-2” for comfort.

2) If you have an existing belt, you can measure from the turn of the leather to the hole you wear your belt at. I will copy this measurement and add extra sizing holes around it.

Make sure to specify which method you’re using. The second method is preferred if you have a belt that fits.
